I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Wishes sometimes do come true. We're here in Colorado, where it snowed about six inches yesterday on top of the three feet last week, visiting Grandma, Aunt Kathleen, Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike. Canine cousins too... Bella, Quintin and Lewis.

Parker is an extremely lucky (read spoiled) boy. I think about 90 percent of the presents under the tree were for him. His favorite may be the activity gym from Aunt Kathleen and Mom likes the wrist and sock rattles from Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike. He'll also be the best dressed kid in town with all the cute clothes he got. Thanks to everyone for the fantastic and thoughtful gifts.

It's been great to have so many babysitters and Parker sleeps great in the new crib at Grandma's house. Hopefully we'll keep it up when we get home.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Guess who's 15 pounds?

No. Not Joe. It's Parker! ;-)

We went to the doc today and he's 15.1 pounds and in the 50th percentile for height and weight. Dr. Brown suggested starting him on rice cereal, which we'll probably do tomorrow. He had his shots today and may be a bit cranky.

Since we're short on space, we'll probably use this chair for feedings. Doesn't he look cute in it?

Bye for now...

Happy four month birthday

Wow! Four months old today. I can't believe how fast time flies. We've been getting lots of Christmas cards from family and friends and I just can't believe how big all the kids are getting. I especially surprised by Becky and Jerry's little Nico (he's only a couple months older than Parker and already looks little a little boy) and Jim and Betsy's kids.

The boy is getting so big and cuter by the day. We've taken to playtime on the floor in the living room. For those who've been to my house, you know how tight it is in here. I push the coffee table out of the way and play "SuperBaby." Parker loves to "fly" and it's great exercise for me. ;-) Jessica taught me how to do push ups over the baby and kiss him each time I go down --he's getting lots of kisses and my arms are getting a work out.

We went last night with my dad and the Volchoks to see the lights in Redondo. These people must have huge electric bills! It was fun to see all the displays people put up for the holidays. Parker even got another photo with Santa as he visited Michael and Jessica's neighborhood.

He's getting his second round of shots tomorrow and I'm dreading it. He threw up all over him and me last time. Keep your fingers crossed that we'll be vomit-free...

Santa Claus is coming to town

The beach cities are so cool. They actually have Santa and his sled pulled by a fire truck that visits each neighborhood during December. Tonight he visited us on Avenue B. This is probably the last picture of Parker with Santa before he starts crying at the sight of him. Those pictures always crack me up. You dress up the kids in their holiday best, only for them to cry the second their butt hits Santa's lap.

The boy was in such a great mood tonight and learned a new game. He was making lots of sounds, so I covered his mouth for him to make the Wah, Wah, Wah sound. We got him to do it on the phone for his Aunt Jen, but he clammed up when we tried to leave a message on Grandma Claudia's answering machine. Greg and I laughed as Parker kept it up for nearly an hour. The cutest kid in the world? I think so...

More of my favorite photos

Since the boy is being pretty quiet right now (read filling his pants -- too much information?), I thought I'd load some of my other favorite photos...
